Nike Goes Onwards
Over the last week, I have posted two short films that have been released to promote corporate identities or brands. The first was a short that provokes an emotional, sensual and intellectual connection between the artist and individual to publicize the MoMA and then just the other day I came across a unique hodgepodge of short visionary films that were created to demonstrate the possibilities of Adobe CS4.
It seems to be a trend with successful campaigns as of late. I feel the messages these short films seek to project are down-to-earth and easy-to-swallow for most individuals who can relate to the brand.
The following is a result of the legendary illustrator James Jarvis on a collaboration with Nike.
The film was inspired by certain personal experiences in running – a favourite run over Blanchland moor in Northumberland, being attacked by a crow in Singapore – and also by the transcendent, almost psychedelic experience of the simple act of running.
