Running the iPhone OS on your Mac Pro is very appealing. Who wouldn’t want the slickest mobile OS running on a 24″ screen? I’m sure that is what was running through the heads of the couple who created this video, especially with all the 3.0 iPhone buzz over the last week. Unfortunately there are several apparent flaws in the video that automatically discount its credibility.

Many functions are mistimed and don’t line up correctly, for example the multi-touch zoom feature at 1:01 is very inaccurate. Moreover the guy in the driver seat looks highly suspicious “operating” the machine. He is most likely sitting there thinking “1-Mississippi-2-Mississippi-touch-Safari”. Finally it is highly unlikely that that monitor has an accelerometer on it. In spite of all its flaws, the author of the video accomplished his goal by generating a buzz and view count of 219,427 in five days.
