Follow Katie Vogel and her music as she is chosen to travel the world as a talented aspiring musician in a melodramatic green-eyed world. This new web show is powered by Sprite and is not anything extraordinarily new however they are trying to utilize and push the social networking aspects by taking advantage of Facebook, YouTube and other popular networks. Allowing users to vote on current episodes, they will shape how the show proceeds. The show is slated to go on for four seasons until the end of the year. I’m not sure how it’ll be different from myspace webshows; we’ll see how this Green Eyed World prevails. Two weeks in, the YouTube video has received 50,000 views and 1,200 votes but only two and a half stars. I don’t think it’s the greatest execution but a great idea mashing up social networks into the drank.
